plane tickets and air travel

Please do not buy an airplane ticket or make any other nonrefundable arrangements without confirming that the workshop has sufficient enrollment to run. We usually know at least one month ahead if we have enough participants. Bradley International Airport (BDL) is the Springfield/Hartford airport, located in Windsor Locks, CT. It is an easy-to-navigate airport, and only a 45-minute drive from Easthampton. Boston’s Logan airport is another option—a much larger airport with many more flights—but a two-hour drive from here (when traffic is light).

directions

It is IMPORTANT that you use our directions to reach the studio. This is a big, old factory complex and if you use your GPS you will not know where to park or which door is unlocked.

workshop hours

We will start at 9:30 am and try to finish up at 5:00 pm—please don’t be late. If you are going to be late, call to let us know. 413-527-8044. Please don’t plan evening activities too soon after 5:00 pm just in case you need to work a little into the evening. The Leather Intensive workshop has exceptionally long hours—the schedule will be discussed the first day of the workshop.

studio kitchen

We suggest that you bring your lunch, there is a refrigerator available for you to use in the studio. There is also a toaster oven, microwave, dishes and flatware that you are welcome to use provided you tidy up.

photography & video

Photography—digital or film—during a workshop is completely at the discretion of the teacher. Video is not allowed. Please be courteous of your teacher and fellow classmates.

show-and-tell

You are welcome to bring some work for show-and-tell. Time permitting, we like to give everyone an opportunity to share their work.

lodging & easthampton

There are a number of B&Bs in the area as well as hotels and motels. Park Street B&B is close to the studio, and we have had good feedback from teachers and students who have lodged there.

refunds & cancellations

Your registration is not complete until we receive your payment in full. If a workshop is cancelled due to low registration, your payment will be fully refunded. If a workshop is postponed because of inclement weather, a new date will be negotiated. Anyone cancelling at least one month prior to a class will receive a refund for the total paid minus $50. Cancellation within one month of a class will result in a refund only if someone is found to fill the space. If a workshop goes as scheduled and you don’t show up, your payment will not be refunded.
