Some of these videos were made in collaboration with the National Museum of American History at the Smithsonian Institution—researching, staging, and producing videos of the chemistry legacy of James Smithson, founder of the Smithsonian. Daniel worked on these productions with Smithsonian Curator Steven Turner and One Match Films.

The Syrup of Violet video was made for the exhibition Beyond Home Remedy: Women, Medicine, and Science at the Folger Shakespeare Library.
